Wholistic Occupational Therapy

This therapy differs from strictly traditional O.T. by using a most compassionate, personalized approach to treatment and by using unique, specialized techniques to pinpoint the root cause of difficulties.

A variety of chronic and acute conditions can be treated from back and neck pain, headaches, TMJ pain, Parkinson's Disease, the emotional and behavioral symptoms of Asperger's Syndrome to the acute conditions of tendinitis, muscle strain or Bell's Palsy.

CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral therapy is a light pressure technique that is used to detect and correct imbalances in the craniosacral system, which may be the cause of sensory, motor or intellectual dysfunction. The craniosacral system consists of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord-from the bones of the skull to the sacrum, or tail-bone area.

This therapy has been successfully used to treat headaches, neck and back pain, TMJ, chronic fatigue, coordination and Central Nervous System Disorders.

This can be applied for behavioral health in children. Some of the behaviors that children exhibit have their roots in early childhood traumas.

Great results have been obtained with sensory processing disorders and Asperger's syndrome. This gentle therapy puts the child at ease and assists the body tissue to normalize and to release its trauma.

The therapeutic process helps to rid the mind and body of the residual effects of trauma. Parents will notice their child is more relaxed. Cranio Sacral Therapy facilitates an excellent balance in the body.

Transgradient Therapy

Transgradient therapy works with the body's energies and rhythms by assisting the client back to a state of balance and resuming more healthy patterns in their physiology. Research has shown that many diseases and conditions are caused by stress-related factors. This technique promotes the release of these stresses and strains from the body, mind, emotions and spirit. This therapy facilitates a deep state of relaxation, reduction in the tension in the Central Nervous System as well as the body's musculature, etc. This Therapy has been effective in pain reduction.

Free yourself up to use your energy for what you want to do!

Visceral Manipulation

Visceral Manipulation was developed by French Osteopath, Jean-Pierre Barral. At optimal health, the relationship between the organs (viscera) and structures of the body (muscles, membranes, fasciae and bones) remains stable despite the body’s endless varieties of motion. But when one organ can’t move in harmony with its surrounding viscera due to abnormal tone, adhesions or displacement, it works against all the body’s organs and structures. This disharmony creates fixed, abnormal points of tension that the body is forced to move around. That chronic irritation, in turn, paves the way for disease and dysfunction.

Visceral Manipulation (VM) is a gentle hands-on therapy that works through the body’s visceral system (the heart, liver, intestines and other internal organs) to locate and alleviate these abnormal points of tension throughout the body.

VM employs specifically placed manual forces that work to encourage the normal mobility, tone and motion of the viscera and their connective tissues. Trained practitioners use the rhythmic motions of the visceral system to evaluate how abnormal forces interplay, overlap and affect the normal body forces at work. These gentle manipulations can potentially improve the functioning of individual organs, the systems the organs function within, and the structural integrity of the entire body.
