Integrative and Traditional Therapy
Assessment of the person as a whole being is a priority for me. Our emotions and bodies are so seamlessly connected that to separate a body part from the whole seems senseless.
After the initial assessment is completed, goals and a plan of treatment will be mutually agreed upon by therapist and client.
Gentle manual techniques are used to assist functional and structural imbalances throughout the body. I've found that alignment in the body is key. Nerves, organs, muscles, ligaments and fascia are addressed. Posture, the dynamics of motion, and suspension systems in the body are evaluated and treated re-establishing the body's ability to adapt and restore itself to health. Even small changes in the body can produce enormous improvements.
Therapeutic exercise and activity, neuromuscular re-education of the body's movements assist clients to reach their functional goals. Yoga and relaxation methods such as meditation are also employed.
Clients experiencing chronic pain are best served by an approach that encompasses both body and brain. To break the cycle of pain, a multi-pronged approach is most effective especially when it is personalized.
Neurological conditions such as Bell's Palsy, Parkinson's Disease, Asperger's Syndrome respond well to treatment techniques.
